Safety at "PiPi," a Certified Maru-Yu Shop

The tour is run by "Ishigaki Island ADVENTURE PiPi," operated by NASH Co., Ltd.

PiPi is a certified "Maru-Yu" shop, officially known as an Excellent Safety Measures Marine Leisure Provider. This certification is granted only to operators that meet the safety standards set by the Okinawa Prefectural Public Safety Commission. Only about 3% of operators in Okinawa Prefecture hold the Maru-Yu certification (as of August 2025).

The shop has met strict standards for guide safety training and operations, including mandatory life jackets, carrying AEDs, and regular safety training for staff. That's why first-timers and families with children can join with confidence.

First, Meet Your Guide and Head to the Blue Cave

Follow the instructions you receive after booking to meet your guide, then head out to the sea. You'll learn how to use the gear, and once you're ready, it's time to explore the Blue Cave.

Looking out from inside the cave, the sea stretches beyond an entrance framed by rock. Photos with the sea in the background are a favorite among past participants. Have your guide take your picture and soak in the scenery of the cave.

After exploring the cave, you'll snorkel in the surrounding waters. Put your face in the water and you'll see coral and the fish swimming around it.

Keep an eye out for small creatures, such as clownfish near sea anemones. Your guide will point out where the fish are as you observe life beneath the surface.

With Luck, You Might Even See a Sea Turtle

While snorkeling, you may get the chance to meet a sea turtle. You might see one swimming, or resting near the coral.

Encounters with wild animals, including sea turtles, are not guaranteed. If you do spot one, don't chase it. Keep your distance and observe it quietly.
